On Wednesday the 3rd of March 2019 a final conference of the project: “Enhancing Transparency in Public-Private Partnerships and Small and Medium Enterprises” took place at the conference room at the Ministry of Economy and Trade in Beirut. 

On Tuesday 12th of February 2019 a workshop took place at the conference room at the Grand Serail – Office of the Lebanese Prime Minister ministry under the title “Enhancing Transparency of the Procurement Procedures in PPP’s and Relevant Challenges in Lebanon”.

The general aim of the workshop was to discuss the guidelines to enhance the transparency of the procurement procedures in Public-Private Partnerships in Lebanon.

Within the framework the USAID-funded “Building Alliances for Local Advancement, Development and Investment –Capacity Building (BALADI CAP)” project, the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace (LFPCP) conducted its Third high level steering committee meeting on the 29 of January 2019 to discuss with the project partners and stakeholders the steps that were achieved so far especially on the law proposal on SMEs, and to agree on the coming phase.

Within the framework the USAID-funded “Building Alliances for Local Advancement, Development and Investment –Capacity Building (BALADI CAP)” project, the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace (LFPCP) conducted its Second high level steering committee meeting on the 12 of November 2018 to introduce the project to their partners and stakeholders, and to agree on general guidelines.

On Tuesday 2th of October 2018 a workshop took place at the conference room at the ministry of Economy and Trade in Beirut under the title “Enhancing the Work of the Small and Medium Enterprises in Lebanon”.

The general aim of the workshop was to present and discuss a new law for SMEs that enhance the work of SMEs in Lebanon.

Within the framework the USAID-funded “Building Alliances for Local Advancement, Development and Investment –Capacity Building (BALADI CAP)” project, the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace (LFPCP) conducted its First high level steering committee meeting on the 9th of August 2018 to introduce the project to their partners and stakeholders, and to agree on general guidelines.

On 27 and 28 of September 2018, a conference for Arab and European Judicial Studies, was held in Beirut – Lebanon. The conference / workshop aimed to be as a platform to exchange experiences and to provide an opportunity to adopt modern methods in developing trainee judges by benefiting from the best European practices.

On Tuesday the 12th of June 2018 a final conference of the project: “Building a Rule of Law Society: to enhance bases of democratic governance and rule of law” took place at the Lebanese Parliament in Beirut. 

Within the framework of Baladi Cap’s Civic Engagement Initiative (CEI), the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace (LFPCP) conducted its fifth steering committee meeting of the project " building the rule of law society" on March 29, 2018 at the Lebanese parliament to discuss with the project achievements so far and to agree on the coming phase.

On Tuesday the 27th of March 2018 a workshop took place at the Grand Serail in Beirut under the title “Food Safety in Lebanon: Needs, Governance, and Enforcement”. 

On Tuesday the 6th of February 2018 a workshop took place at the conference room at the ministry of public health in Beirut under the title “Genetic Testing and Human Health”. 

Within the framework the USAID-funded “Building Alliances for Local Advancement, Development and Investment –Capacity Building (BALADI CAP)” project, the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace (LFPCP) conducted its Fourth high level steering committee meeting on the 1st of February 2018 to discuss with the project partners and stakeholders the steps that were achieved so far, and to agree on the coming phase.

Within the framework of Baladi Cap’s Civic Engagement Initiative (CEI), the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace (LFPCP) conducted its third steering committee meeting on December 6, 2017 at the Lebanese parliament meeting room to discuss with the project partners and stakeholders the steps that were achieved so far, and to agree on the coming phase.

On Wednesday 29th of November 2017 a workshop took place at the conference room at the ministry of Economy and Trade in Beirut under the title “Metrology System in Lebanon”.

 

Within the framework of Baladi Cap’s Civic Engagement Initiative (CEI), the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace (LFPCP) conducted its second steering committee meeting on October 2, 2017 to discuss with the project partners and stakeholders the steps that were achieved so far, and to agree on the coming phase.

Within the framework of Baladi Cap’s Civic Engagement Initiative (CEI), the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace (LFPCP) conducted its first steering committee meeting at July 20, 2017 to introduce the project to their partners and stakeholders, and to agree on general guidelines.

On 18 and 19 of December 2017, a conference for Secretaries General of the Arab Parliaments with the participation of Secretaries General of European countries Parliaments, was held in the national parliament of Lebanon, to discuss how to improve Parliamentary Administration, Sharing Knowledge and Experience, Best Practice, Challenges and Future Perspectives. 

On Thursday the 15th of June 2017 a workshop took place at the Lebanese Parliament in Beirut under the title “Electoral Disputes Resolution in Lebanon: The Current Procedures and Future Perspective”. 

The general aim of the workshop was to study the process of the resolution of the disputes resulting from the whole electoral process, that is, at the three phases of the electoral process,

Phase 1: During the preparation for elections, before the elections day.

Phase 2: During the elections day

Phase 3: After the elections day 

On Tuesday the 13th of June 2017 a workshop took place at the Lebanese Parliament in Beirut under the title “Refugees in Lebanon: Public Policies and Future Visions”. 

The general aim of the workshop was to discuss the refugee crisis and its implications for Lebanon in terms of the economy, health care and education and thus draw lessons and recommendations from these experiences.  

On Tuesday 25 of April 2017 a training activity took place at Shouf National College School at Baakline – Mount Lebanon.

On Wednesday 5th of April 2017 a training activity took place at the Antonine’s Sisters School at Roumieh – Mount Lebanon

Within the framework of the project: Youth-to-Youth (Y2Y): Euromed Youths and the Euromed Refugee Crisis, an international youth exchange took place at Denmark – Copenhagen from the 2nd to 8th of February 2017.

On the occasion of the International day of the human rights, the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace - LFPCP, Institute of Human Rights at Beirut Lawyers Bar Association  and Konrad Adenauer Foundation organized a conference event at 14 of December 2016, and it was titled: International mechanisms of Human Rights of Protection and Effectiveness.

On Saturday may 7, 2016 LFPCP organized an open day event at the old Souk in Byblos distributing more than 1,000 flyers to people, talking one-on-one to passers and filling a survey.

For the purpose of reaching first time voters, participants sought to organize on May 4,2016 an awareness session at LGU where the project volunteers held a stand at strategic places of the university (Entrance hall,cafeteria and lounge) and discussed with students one-on-one why to vote and encouraged them to vote.

On April 30, 2016 LFPCP organized a one-day town hall meeting at the International Center for Human Sciences in Byblos where up to 30 young individuals took part in the discussion and planning of ways to increase youth participation in the 2016 Municipal Elections.

On the 22nd of April 2016, the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace - LFPCP has organized a visit for the 70 activists from Tripoli and Tyr Youth groups, involved in this project, to the parliament.

On Wednesday April 20, 2016 LFPCP organized in collaboration with the Human Rights Club at the Faculty of Law and Political Science at NDU, and the Student Affairs Office a mock municipal election on campus which attracted more than 400 students.

On April 16, 2016 LFPCP organized a one-day town hall meeting at the Municipality of Jounieh where up to 30 young individuals took part in the discussion and planning of ways to increase youth participation in the May 2016 Municipal Elections.

On Saturday 26th of March, the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace LFPCP have organized a meeting with Tyr MPs

On Saturday 6th of February 2016, the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace (LFPCP), proceeded in the implementation of its project “Lebanese Youth Advocates”. And for that LFPCP organized a discussion group meeting at Tyr between the group of the young activists enrolled in the project and Tyr municipality.

On Friday 18 of December 2015, the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace (LFPCP), proceeded in the implementation of its project “Lebanese Youth Advocates”. And for that LFPCP organized a discussion meeting at Tripoli between the group of the young activists enrolled in the project and Tripoli municipality.

The Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace has organized, along with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and the Institute of Judicial Studies, a 2-days workshop on “The Application of International Conventions for Protecting Human Rights in front of National Courts”.

The Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace has organized, along with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and the Human Rights Institute at Beirut Bar Association, a 3-days workshop on “the International Human Rights Mechanisms for Protection”.
